Cherry, Flat Cut, Figured, Fiddleback
|
Description:
Cherry varies widely in color from pale pink to red-brown. Its satiny finish and fine cathedral grain may be naturally marked with brown pitch flecks and small gum pockets. The fiddleback figure in this sample results from distorted growth of trunk fibers which creates a small wave or roll pattern.
|
Applications:
Cherry is used for fine furniture, high production furniture, woodwork, cabinets, and doors. There is an architectural demand for cherry in decorative furniture, architectural paneling, doors, and high-profile projects.
